ABOUT ME

Kia Ora! I’m Kaye-Marie and I’m from New Zealand.

I have been living in Austria for 4 years with my husband and have a two & half year old daughter. With years of experience as a Health and PE teacher, I love being able to apply this knowledge into another area in my life now: Pilates and nutrition coaching.

As a working parent, I know how hard it is to find time for yourself and yet, it is so important. Even before this stage in my life, I struggled. Kids or not, life is busy.

My Pilates classes are a time not only for a physical outlet but also that social, emotional connection that is much needed in a full-on schedule.

My nutrition coaching courses take a similar approach: it’s about supporting busy working women to make simple, sustainable changes rather than focusing on stressful weight-loss, low calorie regimes.

I get it.

And that’s why I love what I do. I look forward to working with you.

WHAT IS HAUORA?

Hauora is a Maori word from New Zealand, that means ‘health’. However, the concept of Hauora is more than just being physically healthy – it includes our mental/emotional health, our social wellbeing and standing strong in our values and spiritual beliefs. Each area is equally important in supporting our overall health.


The robust Maori concept uses a model of a house – ‘Te Whare Tapa Wha’ – and the four walls that make up the house are the four areas of health and wellbeing.

For our house to stand strong, we need each wall to support us in some way. When one wall is weakened, through sickness, lack of support, loss of connection etc, then our overall health and wellbeing is compromised.

Hauora Pilates & Nutrition is about creating balance in our lives to focus on all these four areas.
