What is My Hauora?
It is a community of people who are interested in having more conscious movement in their every day lives, want to take a Pilates class at a time that suits them, and enjoy the connection and support of others.
My Hauora is more than just online Pilates. It’s an opportunity to participate in interactive online classes, to get to know your instructor and to build awareness around your body through the feedback you receive.
Pilates is a mind-body training, and that’s why there is not only a focus on the physical side, but also on your general wellbeing. It’s an opportunity to learn more about yourself while taking care of yourself.
weekly, live Pilates sessions (10-30 mins) which will be uploaded and shared on the website in a timely manner
short, quick pre-recorded sessions (10-15 mins each) to help focus on technique, and use when you’re short on time
a supportive community to ask questions, share successes and generally check in with each other
Videos, worksheets and short articles about Hauora/wellbeing and learn how you can adjust things in your life
All these online classes, pre-recorded videos, online community and learning resources (still to come) are offered to you at this introductory price for a limited time. Be sure to take advantage of it!
A: The classes will take place on Zoom and will be offered 1-2 times a week. Having your camera on is optional, however it is a good chance to get feedback from me about technique, posture and positioning and you can ask questions in real-time if you’re unsure about something. I will record the session, but only upload video coverage of me. The upload will take place within 24 hours, but I’m anticipating it to be much quicker.
A: It depends. Some will be, some won’t. I will mix them up to give people more opportunities to join in live. If I am unwell or unable to offer a scheduled live class, I will either reschedule for that same week, or recommend an archived class. Things happen, and I hope people are supportive of that fact I am a one-woman-band.
A: No worries. You can view the video at a later time, but please allow a realistic amount of time for editing, uploading etc before you start looking for it.
One mini-course is about creating habits. It guides you through the process of making small changes to your daily life, to feel more balanced, focused, fulfilled each day. The second mini-course is about you and your wellbeing. In it you will learn about the four areas of Hauora (wellbeing), and how you can create awareness of this in your life. These courses are still in the process of being written, and as soon as they are ready you will be notified.
: There will be some nutritional information periodically provided, however the best way to gain more nutritional advice and support is to purchase a Pilates & nutrition coaching package. Contact me for more details.
